Appropriately designed school feeding programs have been shown to increase participation and access to learning as well as to improve children’s health and nutrition. School meals in Kenya are beneficial to students and farmers. Home-Grown School Feeding (HGSF) was initiated by the Millennium Hunger Task Force. HGSF is an effective tool in the fight against childhood hunger.
