After 11 dedicated years of working for the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) and the Global Child Nutrition Foundation (GCNF), Paul Alberghine has accepted a position at the United States Department of Agriculture with the Foreign Agriculture Service. Alberghine is now the Program Specialist in the Food Assistance Division School Feeding and Humanitarian Branch. He is working on the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education Programs. Alberghine will specifically be working on a project entitled the Micronutrient-Fortified Food Aid Products Pilot (MFFAPP).
Alberghine played an intricate role in the development of the Global Child Nutrition Foundation in 2006. Prior to leaving SNA/GCNF, Alberghine, Director of Programs had oversight with GCNF’s flagship program, the Global Child Nutrition Forum. Now in its 12th year, the Forum has become a successful educational tool to promote sustainable school feeding programs. Alberghine finished his career with GCNF at his final Forum in Accra, Ghana in early June 2010. GCNF staff wish him the very best in his new career. His dedication to the success of GCNF will always be appreciated.
