Want to view striking international school feeding photos? Would you like to read compelling and up to date information about global school feeding? In July 2010, GCNF launched an updated website, which can be found here: www.gcnf.org. The website features a newly enhanced, user-friendly design. The improved website is packed with easy-to-find information and is a venue for ongoing electronic communication. It serves as a repository of information for global stakeholders working in school feeding.
While browsing GCNF’s new website, please take note of the following:
- GCNF News & Updates – Found on the front page of the website, GCNF will update this section with current news pertaining to international school feeding news.
- Board of Directors – The GCNF Board of Directors, representing both domestic and international leaders in child nutrition, provides global perspective and policy guidance for directing resources to most effectively assist countries with policy and program development.
- Change Our World – Find valuable information about how you can get involved in this year-round campaign to raise funds and awareness.
- A Possible Dream Gala – GCNF’s annual Gala brings together industry supporters, members of the School Nutrition Association and other members of the hunger community for an evening honoring the recipient of the Gene White Lifetime Achievement Award.
- Global Child Nutrition Forum – The Forum assists leaders in starting or expanding school feeding programs linked to local farm production.
- Insider International – This is a bi-monthly electronic newsletter filled with the latest information about global school feeding programs. If you would like to receive the newsletter or contribute an article, please visit the Insider International page.
- Resources – The Resources page is filled with our recent Research & Studies and information about our current projects.
As GCNF steps up its communications, it is becoming easier to follow global news, projects and development activities. The website will be updated frequently with relevant research, articles from the field and press releases. We invite readers to submit articles to Insider International and to the GCNF website. Please contact Chelsea Strandberg at cstrandberg@schoolnutrition.org for more information.
GCNF Communications are moving forward and keeping up with the ever-changing landscape. Social media has become an increasingly popular platform used by non-governmental organizations, corporations and individuals. GCNF has launched a Facebook page, and most recently a Twitter page. By browsing GCNF’s new website, you will see the Facebook and Twitter logos at the bottom of the homepage which link directly to the designated pages. Become a fan of GCNF on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and enjoy browsing the new website!
