Spring is in the air! Dig out your rakes and hoes and put on your sun-hat and garden gloves. It’s time to say goodbye to dark skies and gray clouds and hello to the smell of roses. Winston Industries is proud to sponsor the Flowers for Change fundraising campaign to benefit GCNF and help realize our vision of “a world in which hunger is not a barrier to children learning.”

Child by child, school by school, country by country – GCNF is making a global difference by advancing school feeding programs that help eliminate hunger and allow children access to learning. In addition, school feeding programs improve a child’s health and bolster local agriculture development. As Malawi moved forward on its goal of doubling the number of children receiving school meals, it counted on the knowledge and expertise of a three-time Global Forum delegate, Charles F. Mazinga, deputy of school health and nutrition for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Malawi. In 2010, Malawi served school meals to 30 percent, or 1.2 million of its students, and now projects an increase to 60 percent by 2012.

Join Winston Industries and GCNF in assisting developing countries such as Malawi to reach its goal by 2012 and beautify your garden or send a gift of flowers to friends and family by April 29 to achieve our fundraising goal of $10,000.
